JUST IN: "I AM READY TO LAY MY LIFE FOR NIGERIAS"-SAYS BUHARI

President Muhammadu Buhari has been the president of Nigeria since the year 2015 when he defeated the former president Goodluck Jonathan in a controversial election. He was sworn in on the 29th May 2015 to replace Goodluck Jonathan as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari contested for presidential election several times without winning. He contested in 2003, 2007 and 2011 but failed to win during these periods that he contested.

 

Fortunately, he was able to defeat the incumbent president of Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. He won after several attempts to become the number one citizen of Nigeria. He was struggling to become the president and finally, he succeeded in 2015.

President Muhammadu Buhari recontested again in 2019 and won again to become the president of Nigeria for the second term. He is still the president of Nigeria even though many Nigerians have lost confidence in his government because of the economic hardship being faced by almost all the households across the country. Also contributed was the issue of the lingering Insecurity situation across the country.

Recall that there have been issues of insecurity situations in Nigeria where bandits and terrorism as well as gunmen and herdsmen have taken over and have been causing unrest and unhappiness among the people in many parts of the country.

 

Amidst the lingering Insecurity, president Muhammadu Buhari has made a touching statement concerning his love for Nigeria. What he said might be the truth because he has tried severally to lead the country Nigeria since 2003.
