BREAKING | DSS ACCUSED OF STEALING 3M AND JEWELRIES

During the attack, Department of State Services (DSS) operatives raided the Ibadan home of Yoruba Nation activist Chief Sunday Adeyemo alias Sunday Igboho and allegedly carted away numerous items.

 

One of Sunday Igboho' s aides said that DSS operatives grabbed N3 million and numerous pieces of jewelry from the activist' s bedroom during the incident.

The secret police also took away a closed- circuit television box during the raid on Thursday, preventing a repeat of their actions, he alleged.

The DSS had previously admitted to being behind the raid on Igboho' s residence, alleging that the raid was carried out in response to intelligence reports that the Yoruba Nation activist was stockpiling dangerous weapons in his home.

During the operation, the DSS recovered roughly fourteen items from the house, according to the DSS.

But, according to a source close to Igboho who spoke to Punch on the condition of anonymity, the DSS took more than they stated.

 

The agents opened fire on the house and fired to kill, according to the aide, who also noted that Igboho' s escape remains a mystery.

" Chief surprised every one of us because the attackers were everywhere, but he escaped. The assailants came around 1. 30am, scaled the fence and opened fire.

" I think the instruction they were given was to kill every living thing sighted on the premises. A lady was the one directing them. She was calling occupants of the house by their names. That is to show that an insider gave them the information they relied on.

" They took away about N3m from his (Igboho' s) room as well as his jewellery. " the aide explained.

One other occupant of the house who witnessed the incident, added that: " The assailants killed five persons and took away their corpses.
